If you haven't been living under a rock for the last 4 years, you will know that today the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics is taking place in my home-country, Great Britain. There's been an incredible amount of hype and cheesy lines about 'our Olympic Legacy', but for most of the UK residents the whole olympic thing is getting old. The TV coverage I've been watching leading up to the ceremony has involved several interviews talking about showing off to the world 'what Great Britain can really do' but I'm not sure if the message we put out will be entirely good.
One of the things I am talking about it this: the embarrassing flag mixup at the women's football match. I'm not sure if you'll have heard of this abroad, but in britain its become the first of many laughing points to come in our olympics. What happened was, while the North Korean woman's footballers ran onto the pitch, the South Korean flag was displayed. Now, the two mations may share a boarder, but they couldn't be any more different. The North Koreans were outraged, and stormed off, delaying the play and embarrassing the whole nation on one of the first events of the 2012 Olympics.
So, the Opening Ceremony is next and it'd better not disappoint! It's been planned to pinpoint accuracy and anticipated eagerly, but will it all go well, or will it be an embarrassing failure like the flag mixup? Are you going to be watching? I certainly am!
You know how I love to edit photos! This is another edit I did, and I was thinking that if the readers of this blog want an edit done of themselves they can send in a picture and I will edit it! Adii thought Pete had betrayed her, but infact it was only a rumour. After Pete received Adii's angry text message, he immediately called her to put things right. He had got his former girlfriend, Kara, pregnant and she proposed to him even though they weren't in a relationship at the time. Of corse Pete said no, he had dumped her for a reason and didn't want a marriage with a girl he didn't love.
They apologised to each other for the misunderstanding, and somehow it strengthened the relationship. Pete's baby with Kara was born, a little boy called Lloyd, and soon after Pete proposed to Adii. She was sure he was 'the one' and so she flung herself into his arms and said a massive yes. So Adii isn't Adii Breckenridge anymore, she's Adii Nowell!
In other news, Adii is now not only a wife but also a mother-in-law! Sophia just turned 16, the legal age for marriage, and was keen as hell to marry her girlfriend Briany. They married and moved out to a house on the other side of town, the happiest couple in the world. The couple went to the hospital for some IVF, where they took Briany's DNA and found the man in their sperm bank with the closest match to hers. Then they impregnated Sophia with him, so she is a soon to be mother! Which means, Adii is a soon to be grandmother!
Adii has been spending a lot of time at the hospital one way and another, what with being onto her second impregnation from the sperm donor library and her fertility treatment to improve her chance of twins and triplets. One of the workers there caught her eye a few times, he was a blonde and muscular man just slightly older than her by the looks of it, very handsome indeed by her account.
She started talking to him one day and found that they had more than a little in common, he was incredibly friendly and a devout vegetarian, called Pete Nowell.
She got his adress and visited his house late on a Saturday evening to 'drop by some medical papers' although they both knew it was for something more. They had a chat over a mug of coffee, then they kissed and hugged on the bed. Nothing more though. She knew he was already in a relationship, but she asked him to dump the girl and he did as she said. She went home the happiest girl alive, convinced she had found her life partner.
Then the surprise came 2 months later. She had just returned from his house after a good night with him and perhaps a WooHoo or two..... She was convinced he would soon propose, but when she got home some bad news was waiting for her. Pete had just proposed, but not to Adii, to his girlfriend Kara, the same girl who he had told Adii he dumped. Kara was pregnant with his baby and they were having a quickie marriage in a weeks time. Adii was furious and immediately texted him angrily, saying they should never meet agin. The love of her life had betrayed her, just confirming that men were useless.
She had her 13th baby soon after, a gorgeous girl called Ava with a sperm donor father who requested to remain unknown to Adii. Adii then returned to the hospital and straight away booked another impregnating session, requesting a female doctor. This wasn't the first time that a man had broken her heart, but she swore that it would be the last.
Adii's latest two births were twins, the biblically named Ethan and Noah. Their father, a previously unknown sperm donor, was found using DNA analysis after the twins' birth. He turns out to be Keon Broke, another happily single man who would be a perfect match to Adii, infact she was toying with the idea of meeting up with him until she found out that he was her ex's half-brother! Paul McDermott, her red-headed ex, is incredibly close to his half-brother, being orphaned since a young age with only his half-brother and his grandfather to look after him. While Paul and Adii parted as friends, he wouldn't react too well if she tried to hit on his best friend and only living relative.
So that relationship was out of the question, and for the time being Adii is still wanting to remain single. On the other end of the spectrum, her bisexual oldest daughter Sophia, has found herself a girlfriend! It was a tentative at first, neither of them quite comfortable with each other to begin with, as they had both never had a same-sex relationship before. But soon it grew, and they realised they had almost everything in common with each other! The girls name is Briany Epps, she's a complete stunner and all the boys are after her, but there's no chance she'll go out with one since she's 100% sure of her sexuality and would hate to betray her lesbian traits.
The two lovers have been in bed together, but Adii is glad of the fact that there's no chance her daughter will be eating for two anytime soon.
Adii recently had her 10th child, a sweet baby boy called Jayden. Her and her new boyfriend couldn't have been happier, they constantly kissed and hugged in the park (Making passers by gag at the extreme public displays of affection) and their baby was doted on.
One day, Jarrod got down on his knees and proposed to Adii, expecting a resounding yes and then a lifetime together. But the fates had different ideas about how long their relationship would be. Adii had seen this coming for a long time, and had made up her mind that she was too young to be in a marriage. She didn't want to get settled until later when she knew she was with 'the one'. Of course Jarrod didn't take this too well, he stormed off with his possessions and the newborn baby, leaving Adii all alone in the world.
Months passed and Adii grew up into an adult. She invited her oldest daughter, Sophia, to come and live with her. Sophia is now a teenager, trying to make her way in the world, just as her mother was doing at that age. She's having bullying problems though, because she's bisexual and can't get any girl to even look her way, let alone enter any type of relationship. Both girls having love troubles, Adii decided that she would take a break from boys for a while. She became pregnant with a sperm donor at the hospital, and is currently living happily 'single'.
Adii's dyed her hair a more mature tone of brown and taken to wearing blue contacts sometimes. She's losing weight too, her bones are beginning to show and her face has become hollower. Sophia says its the stress of her recent breakup, but Adii feels that she is 'fat' from her pregnancy. Is it possible that the loneliness of being single has made her feel inadequate, like she continually needs to loose weight to prove her worth to men?
What do you do when you have a free weekend? This weekend I'm planning for what I call 'Spa Saturday'. It's basically a day of pampering where I make myself some home remedies and treat myself to a day at the spa without the cost! I enjoy this treatment once every two weeks, or once every month. Here's what I do:
1. I condition my hair: I own no deep conditioner, but for vaguely the same effect you can wet your hair under the tap and then massage a good handful of your favourite conditioner into your hair tips (Try to avoid the scalp if you have oily hair, as it will make the problem worse) You will wash this conditioner out after you have completed all the other steps.
2. I exfoliate: It is important to exfoliate before and after you epilate to avoid ingrown hairs. You can use your own exfoliating scrub, or you can make your own by using 5 tablespoons of sea salt, 2 table spoons of granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda and 10 tablespoons of olive oil. This is my own recipe that I adapted to work best with my body, of course you may need to find your own recipe because everybody's skin is different. Make sure to only use half of the mix, as you need more for later.
3. I epilate: epilation is a hair removal technique that is less painful than waxing but does the same job (by pulling out your hairs at the root) A good epilator can cost upwards of £30, with some more up-market ones costing £100 or so. It is a long term investment, but incredibly worthwhile, because your hairs regrow slower and thinner than they would if you had shaved. To see more about epilation watch the video below, and remember to make sure all the exfoliating scrub is gone before you epilate, because most epilators can't cope with much moisture of any type.
4. I exfoliate again: I rub the remaining exfoliating scrub into my arms and legs and then wash it off using a wet sponge and some moisturising shower gel. I then towel off my legs.
5. I moisturise: I use my favourite moisturiser or body butter on the parts of my body I have epilated. It helps to calm the pain and stop irritation. In summer, if you use a tinted moisturiser it adds a lovely golden glow to your body.
6. I use a face mask: I make my own face mask using a tablespoon of plain yoghurt, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of turmeric. Before I apply this to my face, I boil the kettle and brew a cup of green tea using two tea bags. Once the tea is brewed I take out the bags and leave the tea to cool while I lather the face mask over myself. Be careful to leave a lot of space around the eyes, because they can be very sensitive. Once the face mask is on, place the tea bags on your eyes and drink the green tea. Green tea is full of antioxidants, so it's very good for you. Leave the tea bags and face mask on for 5-10 minutes and then wash it off using a towel with warm water.
7. I use teeth whitening: I don't own any whitening solution, and of course a proper mixture would work better, but if you haven't got the time or money to buy any of that stuff I have a recipe you can use: just mix 1/4 - 1/2 of a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda with your mouthwash and run your tongue along your teeth to make sure you spread the mix all around your mouth. Then rub a tiny amount of bicarbonate of soda into your toothbrush and put a small blob of toothpaste on to then brush thoroughly. It is a good habit not to wash your mouth out after brushing, because the chemicals in the toothpaste continue to work after you have brushed, and if you wash out those chemicals go away.
8. I scrub my lips: To make a lip scrub you can either take 1/4 a teaspoon of vaseline and mix it with sugar or you can mix a few drops of olive oil with 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar. Massage this onto your lips and then leave it there for a few minutes to sink in (IT CAN BE SO TEMPTING TO LICK IT OFF, but you have to resist the urge! If it helps you not to lick it off, use salt instead of sugar)
9. I moisturise my lips: I use my favourite lip balm and apply a fairly thick layer to my lips just to make them as moisturised as possible.
10. I wash my hair: I usually just wash my hair under the tap to wash out the conditioner I put in on step 1. This is because I don't want to completely wash off all the natural oils that I have put on my body, I want them to sink in over-night to make my skin as lovely as possible. Find a high chair (High enough so that you can lean back from it and your hair will be in the basin) and then massage your scalp and tips to wash the conditioner out.
Tips!
-GO NATURAL: If you would usually wear a lot of makeup (especially full face makeup like foundation) then it can lock in moisture and oil, making your skin more acne prone and oily. On Spa Saturday, treat your face to a bit of time out in the fresh air, don't apply any makeup and your skin will really thank you.
-NO HEAT: You will find that straightening/curling your hair causes a lot of damage. For Spa Saturday, leave your hair in its natural state to let the conditioner do its work. Your hair will feel much more soft! Also, avoid hairdryers, because they too can dry out your hair and make it very frizzy. This is especially important if you have curly hair.
-DON'T SLEEP WITH WET HAIR: It can cause irreversible damage, especially if you toss and turn! If you are very pressed for time in the evening and you have no time to let your hair dry you can put it in two plaits and sleep with it like that. It still isn't wonderful for your hair, but it minimises the damage. When you wake up and undo the plaits it is likely your hair will still be slightly wet. Let it dry naturally if at all possible.]
-UNDER EYE BAGS? If you usually have problems with under eye bags, I have a solution! Before you go to sleep apply a layer of vaseline to your under eyes. You may think that it would cause oily skin to become problematic, but in fact almost eradicates eye bags and does nothing else bad! I wouldn't advise doing this every night, but for 2 or 3 times a week you can enjoy being bag-free. If you have no vaseline, I have found that a layer of nice lip balm will do.
Thanks for reading and please be sure to try this at home. Your body will really thank you, especially with all the home-remedies giving yourself a natural and well needed rejuvenation. This is my preferred routine, but of course feel free to alter recipes and add/miss out steps.

Paul and Adii had their 3rd child together, a baby boy named Jacob. Soon after, however, they broke up. If they had ever loved each other, children had taken away the romance, and so they parted best of friends. Paul moved in with his half brother and three children, while Adii soon got a new boyfriend. Lets just hope he lasts longer than Paul!

Issy, the first baby with Paul is now a toddler and Adii's just had baby number 8, a beautiful baby girl called Olivia. There's a third baby on the way! Theres good news that Paul has brought some money into the family, since his Grandad died recently and he inherited some money. This means that the family have converted the garage and given their new babies a lovely room all of their own downstairs!
The other news is that Adii's been back in contact with some of her children that were taken by the social worker. Can you believe that her two oldest kids, Aiden and Sophia, have both grown into children and started school already? Aiden's just joined high school! She's also met back up with her Ex, Mark Winslow. She meant to visit her two children Aiden and Liam, who both live with the Shallow family, but didn't realise that Mark had been taken in by them too. Their meeting started off ok, with a polite handshake but nothing more, and then slowly turned into an argument as both sides remembered their old emotions. Mark has now broken up with the girl he cheated on Adii with (Ingrid) and moved on to another woman called Chantel, who is much older than him and definitely won't stay with him long.
Sophia has met the upcoming addition to the family already! It's good to see that Adii's keeping up with her older children!
Adii had her 6th child with Mark (Liam) , and then sent it to live with him because she couldn't bear for anything to remind her of him. Soon she found a new boyfriend, Paul McDermott, who is younger than her and has fiery red hair. He's caught up in the joy of first love, overjoyed about her pregnancy with him, giving no second thought to what his only living relative (his elderly grandfather) might think.
While Paul is happy, Adii is still sore from her betrayal by Mark and to make it worse she hears that her children have been taken out of Marks care. Mark broke up with Ingrid, the girl he cheated on Adii with, and he caved under the pressure of having to look after six young children. According to various people, it was Ingrid that told social services about the living conditions of the babies, bitter after their breakup and wanting to cause Mark pain. The children were quickly re-distributed among the town residents, some going to Marks parents, some to Adiis and some to family friends. Adii should be glad that she can still visit her children from time to time, but this has lead to a 'no going back' state between the ex-couple, she will never forgive Mark for the neglect he gave to his children. We'd better hope that Paul doesn't make the same mistake.
The for Adii and Mark, money is really tight. With twins Jack and Emma being born and another baby called Mason also newly out, theres hardly time (or space) to do anything. They're trying hard to bring in income in wich ever way possible, Mark has found a job as a checkout assistant and Adii is playing her guitar in the park for tips whenever she can get away from the babies. There's no money for a babysitter, and so they both have to stay home from school and look after the kids. It's emotionally and physically draining, and increasingly Mark finds himself trying to get out of the house.
Mark gave 'meeting the neighbours' a new meaning, after he started having an affair with the sim next door, Ingrid Dean. When Adii found out this she was livid! They fought for the whole night, and after that there was no saving the relationship. They broke up and Mark left with the 5 children and his new girlfriend, Ingrid. Adii is left alone in the world and pregnant with his 6th baby, she has no intention to keep it however, as soon as it's born she intends to send it to live with its father. She wants nothing to remind her of the pain of her first failed relationship.

Adii and Mark have now moved into an abandoned garage. Adii turns a blind eye to any new furniture arriving in the house, because she knows that they have no money to buy new things, and is all to aware of Mark's kleptomaniac tendencies.
It's a big enough house for three, but with another baby on the way the family won't be able to stay upstairs and with no money to convert the garages they'll just have to make do without conversion. Aiden, their first baby is still young, and Mark hasn't noticed the differences between himself and the baby. What will happen when he finds out that he's left home to look after a baby that isn't his own? Will the next baby be a boy or a girl? Keep reading to find out. I don't want to turn ageing off completely, because my sims babies need to grow up! I will be naming my sims babies from the 100 most popular american names list 2011. This is Adii Breckenridge, child of Jason and Maria Breckenridge. The name Adii is short for Ariadne, the name of a greek godess. Her brother Yannis also has a greek name, meaning John in english. From a young age it was apparent that Adii wasn't the brightest spark, but her parents (Jason, a freelance artist and painter, and Maria, a young woman looking to make her way in the sporting world) had other ideas. The constant tutoring from her dad and teasing from her genius younger brother just made her hate school even more, and tended to bunk off. She knew that all she really wanted to do was to raise a family, the sooner the better in her opinion, but when her parents found out that she has become pregnant below the legal age, they kicked her out to live with her boyfriend Mark Winslow. At the moment they live together very happily in a small apartment, but what will happen when he finds out that the baby she is carrying isn't his?

Since Picnik has gone, I've been looking around for new alternatives, and today I think I found the perfect thing! It's called picmonkey, and it has a lot of the same features as Picnik (plus more!) At the moment the premium content is free, since they're a relatively new website and still haven't got everything 100% sorted out.

Maryn's Mother is called Unna Christy and her Father is called Nathan Ely-Winn. Her parents were never in a romantic relationship with each other, they were friends with benefits, but after an accidental teenage pregnancy Unna had a baby with Nathan, called Pascal. A few years later Unna had another unplanned baby boy with another man called Donnel, this time their baby was called Britton.
Nathan Ely-Winn was in a steady relationship and was in fact engaged to marry when he found out that he had made Unna pregnant AGAIN. Unna named her third child Maryn. Just weeks after Maryn's birth, Nathan got married to a woman called Coralie.
Maryn grew up in a small home with room for only a 3-person family. Unna's first two children (Pascal, Maryn's brother and Britton, Maryn's half-brother) lived with Unna's ex-husband in a bigger house, even though neither of them were actually his children. Unna soon re-married a man called Shan Christy.
Meanwhile, Nathan had had a baby boy with Coralie called Andre and they lived in a lovely seaside house with plenty of room to spare. While at first Nathan had hesitated to admit that he had children outside his marriage with Coralie, he became more comfortable with the fact as time passed. Soon he received a message from Unna, asking if he could take Maryn to live with him, since Unna and Shan were expecting a child and they didn't have enough room in the house for two children. Nathan was more than happy to accept.
After Maryn moved in with the Ely-Winn household her life was relatively quiet. Her half-brother was named Robbie and it seemed that Unna was getting to old for the wild lifestyle she used to live and so she had given up sleeping around and instead was enjoying a happy marriage with Shan. Coralie also had another baby, a little girl called Claire.
Maryn settled in very well with her new family, and she was treated much better than she had been in her previous life, enjoying the calm and relaxed seaside atmosphere. She grew into a happy teenage girl and completely lived a completely different life to her mothers bad example, getting her first boyfriend in her late teenage years and then staying with him until adulthood until they married. Her husband was called Ethan Mckay.
They are now the proud parents of a little boy called Webb and two baby girls called Ella and Flo. Maryn hopes that she will set a good example for her children, learning from her mothers mistakes so that she can give her offspring the best childhood possible.

Well, most of the people I watch on youtube are either make up gurus or comedy people. Here's a quick list:
SuperAmazingProject- This channel is made by two roommates called AmazingPhil and Danisnotonfire. They put out a new video (almost) every Monday, and they have features with things like stupid news stories and 'viewer paranormal activity'. They are REALLY funny, and you should definitely check them out, as well as their individual channels. Chrischibird- This guy has only about 400 subscribers, but he deserves to be WAY more well known. He does a feature every thursday about stupid news stories (like the SuperAmazingProject) and he also does sketches and funny animations. OhItsJustKim- Lots of people say that this girl reminds them of charlieissocoollike, and they really are quite similar. Kim doesn't really do frequent videos, but when she does do a video she always comes across as a very lively person (full of the randomness that I used to love in charlieissocoollike) So check her out if you used to be a fan of Charlie's (or still are lol)
Bubzbeauty- I LOVE bubbi! She does really good makeup tutorials, for things that you could do really quickly and wear every day. She also gives really good advice about life situations like relationships and bullying etc, and she really seems like a person who is out to do good in the world. MichellePhan- Michelle was my first makeup guru, and she also does good wearable styles like bubz, mixed in with some VERY unwearable stuff for fancy dress etc. She's a really popular you tuber and I think maybe she's lost some of her shine over the years, but she's definitely very good for starters. KlairedelysArt-This girl is probably my favourite makeup YouTuber. She does some REALLY cool stuff, mostly arty things that you would never in a million years actually wear, BUT THEY ARE SOO COOL and she's so freaking artistically talented!
Of course there are other YouTubers I watch, but these are just my favourites. Of course, click on their names to visit their channels and don't forget to comment below telling me what you think of my choice's and what your favourite YouTubers are!

Its possible to dye your skin (by tattooing ink of a certain colour all over your body) So do you think that in the future it will be fashionable to dye yourself, like it is in The Hunger Games?

Loving this song by Taylor Swift! She wrote it to be on the credits soundtrack for The Hunger Games, and I think it is absolutely beautiful. I'm not usually a Taylor Swift fan, but this one I LOVELOVELOVE.
Doesn't her eyes just make you want to die? She's a gorgeous black labrador called Tanzie, who belongs to my neighbours. I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH, SHE'S THE CUTEST THING EVER!
I'd never really considered installing any mods for the Sims, until one day when I came across this amazing website by a man called Twallan, which is full of some really cool mods that just made me HAVE to install some stuff!
What have I got installed?
Woohoer and it's Scoring System: Which enables teen pregnancy, teen marriage & teen adult romance, and then the add on scoring mod (which requires the base mod to work) enables the sim to visit a 'Matchmaker' at the spa, meaning that a sim can find a partner much more easily. Story Progression: Which basically means that while you aren't using the other families in the neighbourhood they can find new partners, become pregnant, age up, get new jobs and promotions etc. Sleep Freedom: I recommend this for the woohoer mod, because it enabled two teens to share a bed together so that they can then get pregnant.

My friends showed me this awesome meme page that is all about Harry Potter, and while I'm not the biggest Potterhead I totally agree that this page is full of really funny stuff.
It's a simple concept, you are the white ball and you are constantly shrinking. You have to collect the blue balls to grow larger, but if you hit the red triangles you suddenly become much smaller. To move you tilt the phone left and right, meaning that it is difficult to play on the move.....
I would give this game a rating of 5 stars, because it is SO addictive and it is also free!

You probably know the app 'Draw Something' (It's where you are given a word and you have to draw it, then the person you are playing with has to guess what it is) Well, I was doing some googling and I came across this AWESOME picture!
I don't know who drew it, but whoever it was is THE COOLEST PERSON ALIVE!
Yesterday I went into town and saw the film. I think that if I hadn't read the books beforehand I would have loved the movie, because then I wouldn't be so annoyed by the differences. Some major bad casting issues for a start, I mean President Snow is an evil plotting villain, but in the film he looked like a cuddly Santa. Then there was Peeta, who looked permanently surprised. He did some good acting later on in the film, but at the start he was just some surprised dude who was a bit too enthusiastic about the whole Hunger Games thing and then told the whole Capitol about how he was deeply in love with Katniss.... There were some other things I didn't like, for instance how the costumes for district 12 were obviously just a black top with some badly animated flames added in later. I mean, where was Katniss' lovely dress?
This is more like how I imagined her dress :)
All I saw was a black army style top and a weird Princess Leia hairdo. Another bit that I was unhappy with was the whole Rue thing.... In the book when Rue dies its really sad, but in the film it was just a bit like 'Oh, another one's dead...' I think that the reason for that was just because in the film Katniss didn't get so close to Rue and you didn't get behind her as much as the book made you.
I don't know. After all that ranting I reckon that thins film is good as a film on it's own, but not as a book adapted into a film. If you've read the books then you should probably go and see the film anyway just so that you can rant about it later, but if you haven't read the books then I think you would really like the film.
Overall, I give it 3 Stars out of 5.
